Thunderbird setup

  • Go to https://webmail.parsecdata.com and sign in with your account (in this case, the postmaster account).
  • Click Options
  • Click Login

    Change your password
  • Download the Thunderbird client from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/. Install the client and run it after installation.
  • Put in your account information and click Continue
  • Click Stop
  • Put in your account info and change Incoming and Outgoing fields so they match below. Click Manual Setup
  • Change Authentication method to Encrypted password
  • Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP)
  • Click on smtp.parsecdata.com (Default)
  • Click Edit
  • Change fields to match below and put in your full email address for User Name and click OK
  • Click Composition & Addressing and change the two drop-down options to match below
  • Click OK
  • Click Write to compose new email
  • Send an email to support@parsecdata.com with a subject of "MailEnable Test" and "Test" in the body. Click Send
  • Enter your password and choose to User Password Manager to remember this password if you wish
  • Once you have completed this for all your users, please call Joel at 877-551-3282 to schedule the switch of your DNS
